Daffodils room is for children aged from 16-months to 2 years, where we try to make the environment very welcoming and stimulating for the children. We have the statutory minimum ratio of 1:3.

We provide an engaging environment in which children can learn and develop at their own pace. In Daffodils Room, we start to encourage self recognition, independence and the children’s understanding of their own emotions. Our ultimate goal is to ensure children are happy, well looked after in a safe homely environment where learning is fun through a wide range of experiences.

The toys are kept at children level for free access and to reach easily. Our rooms are set up to give children lots of sensory experiences such as sensory bags, play dough, paint, corn flour and pasta products. We enjoy activities such as sand & water play, garden play, singing, dancing, messy play … and lots more! During the summer months, we also enjoy lots of picnics outside in our lovely garden.

After lunch some children will have a well earned rest, whilst others will carry on playing and having fun. The resting children are now refreshed, full of energy and we are now ready for an action packed afternoon.
